Bouleterion Interior

View of the seating area of the Council House (bouleuterion) after reconstruction(2023). The bouleuterion is shaped like a small theater and could seat approximately 1,000 people. According to an inscription, a roof covered it.

Here, not only did the council of the city of Patara meet, but according to ancient sources, so did the "Lycian League."

This type of structure was also used for concerts and other small gatherings (Oedion, Odeum).
