Isis and Serapis

View of a relief carved into the stones on the northern façade of Hadrian’s Granary. This image shows two Egyptian deities: Isis reclining on a couch (left) and Serapis standing. Between them is a griffin and on the right side of the image is a snake.

A Greek inscription is carved into the stone below, the one that a modern thief has chipped away at—evidently hoping to remove one or both of these artifacts.
