Temple of Trajan 4

View of the southern end of the Temple of Trajan, looking north. Note the three courses of andesite stone foundation of the temple. These courses of andesite had originally been covered with marble. On top of these stones, in the center of the image, half of the marble pediment of the front of the temple has been reconstructed — originally of course columns supported it.
