Sundial Face

View of the face of an ancient sundial that was discovered at Knidos. The "gnomon" is obviously a modern stick placed where the original gnomon was placed—as is the modern watch.

This sundial would have to have been placed in a permanent position—the current position is modern—but, for what it is worth, this picture was taken at 11:54 AM (Turkish time—see the digital watch!) on 29 May 2010.
