Taşköprü (Stone Bridge)

This stone bridge was originally constructed in the first half of the second century AD—across the Seyhan River—the ancient Sarus River. It is about 1,000 feet long and originally had 21 or 22 arches. Today it serves as a pedestrian bridge. It may have been commissioned during the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (r. 117–138).
