View of the well-preserved arch of the Ulu Cami ("Grand Mosque") at Haran.
The mosque was built by the Umayyad Caliph Mervan II between 744-750. It measured 340 x 350 ft. (104 x 107 m.) and the well–preserved minaret is 108 ft. (33.3 m.) tall!
