Scaene Frons (1)

View of the stage area of the south theater at Gerasa (Jarash). The lower vertical portion, in the shade, supported the wooden floor. In the sunlight two of the three entrance doors in the scaene frons are visible as are a number of columns that supported the second floor of the backdrop.
