Middle Bronze City Gate (Western Face)

View, looking east, at the west (inside–the–city) portion of the gate complex.

The basalt paved street leads out of the gate (toward the bottom of the image) down, into the city. Also note the stone retaining wall on the right (south) side of the image.

The hills rising up in the distance, at the very top of the photo, are the foothills of the Golan Heights.
