Double Gate 2

View looking north-northwest toward the Double Gate. The wall, running from right (east) to left (west) is along the line of the original southern wall of the Temple built by king Herod (37-4 B.C.). On the left side of the image is a medieval wall, perpendicular to the "southern wall."

The staircase in the foreground is from the Second Temple (New Testament) Period. Click Here for a description.
