Medici Altar

View of the altar at the XI station of the cross—where, according to tradition, Jesus was nailed to the cross.

This altar was made in Florence, Italy in 1588 and was donated to the church by Cardinal Medici. Four scenes associated with the Passion of Jesus are hammered in silver on the front of the altar. These are visible if you download the maximum size image.
