Tomb of Jesus

View inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher looking west-northwest. The whole of the image is taken up with the marble facing on the monument where the tomb of Jesus was located. These pilgrims are waiting to enter the small entrance to the monument. Unfortunately, the original tomb was destroyed by a mentally unstable Moslem, Hakim, in A.D. 1009, but the current monument is built over the same spot as the original tomb.
