Great Reception Hall

View looking north at the "Great Reception Hall" (left center of image) at Herod the Great's Third Palace at Jericho. This hall measured 62 x 92 ft. There were massive columns (possibly square) parallel to three sides while the sought side was open with a view to the wadi below and the southern part of this palace.

The corner of the building on the right is that of a peristyle courtyard.
