The Turkish town of Sarıkaya (population 19,000) is known for its hot springs and associated bathhouses. In the city is a large Roman Thermal Bath (Sarıkaya Roma Hamamı) that may be the ancient Aquae Saravenae). The bath was built in the second century AD and was used in the Byzantine, Selcuk, and Ottoman periods. The excavation of the site began in 2010 and continues to this day The water that the pool uses springs from the ground at 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

The main thermal pool measures 76 x 42 feet and is 4.5 feet deep.
